This sweet little boy was born to our mama Cupcake. We had just about given up on Cupcake, thinking that she had somehow not been bred. She was exposed to our Jack Yogi in late June 2021, so we were expecting a baby in late May even late July. She definitely looked wider, but there weren't any signs of her bagging up. This little guy was born on a crisp Wednesday morning just a few days after we had discussed getting an ultrasound and putting her back in with Yogi. Cupcake is a no light points charcoal grey, her dad was a black NLP and mom is a paint.

This sweet little babe was born to our mama Mia. The morning of her birth I went to check Mia's bag and she had milk leaking and I knew she'd have this babe in a few hours. I went out to our garden and set a timer on my watch for an hour. When the timer went off I went to check on Mia and saw she had given birth to this little babe! Both mama and dad are paints.

Liberty's mama is Lizzie (Elizabeth Taylor) and dad is our Jack Jet. Liberty is the third babe for these two and looks just like her older sister Lucy (Lucielle Ball).
We had been on baby watch for a week and on this Friday neither of us would be home all day. Before I left for work I went to the barn to talk to Lizzie and ask her to please not have her babe while I was at work. My middle school kids had all made guesses about due date, so we checked the barn cams often. I was relieved to see her still very pregnant every time we checked that day.
When I got home before even going into the house I went out to let Lizzie out to hang in the pasture on what I thought would be her last "free" day. I went around checking on the other animals and when I came back I could not find Lizzie anywhere. She never went out to the pasture and instead went to lie down in a corner next to the barn. I instantly knew it was time.
I ran in to change my clothes and grab everything I might need. I arrived home that day at 3:20 pm and Liberty was born at 3:58 pm. It was hands down the coolest experience to be with Lizzie the whole time. It has strengthened the bond between Lizzie and I in a way I could not have ever imagined.
Liberty is hands down the sweetest donkey we have ever had. She was the best family to go home to in a few months and we are so excited for them!

JJ another super sweet baby boy born to Diane Swanson and Jet. This is Diane's first babe. We were out of town when JJ was born. I had already been feeling sad that I was missing Fiona, his older half sister's birthday when we received a call from my sister in law, that we had a new addition!
We thought Diane would have her babe before LIzzie since she was bred a week before, but in her own time she brought JJ into the world on her own!
JJ is full of personality and loves to snuggle and be kissed on his nose. He is going to be a mini mini for sure with a small mom and dad!
He loves to run around with Liberty and is the first one to the fence to say hi when I get home.

Smokey is a shy guy that sticks close to his mama for a few seconds before he warms and start to show off his moves. He is not even a week old yet, but he enjoys running around outside, especially if someone is watching! Smokey's mama is a gorgeous cream color while dad is our NLP all black jack. This is the first time we have gotten this gorgeous smokey gray from these two!

Angel Cake was born to Aretha Franklin on a Monday afternoon. Aretha was the first mini that we ever bred and had born here on the farm. This is her first baby and she is super special to us for that reason. Her mama is a NLP black beauty and dad is a paint.
Angel Cake is named after my sister's late pup who had a very similar personality - Super friendly, lots of energy, likes to be loved on!

Vanilla Ice

This super cute little guy was born early on a Wednesday morning to our paint mama Lacie. Lacie was bred to our paint stud Yogi Berra. He has a lot of white with some of the same markings as his mama on his face. He is very sweet and friendly already and loves to run around the backyard while mama munches on grass.
